Hey and welcome back to The Jazzy Nation! I am so glad you stopped by. In today’s post, I am sharing My At Home Fitness Routine plus an awesome breakfast recipe idea!
As an expat, I don’t always have access to a gym so having an at home fitness routine is really great because I can work out in the comfort of my home while living abroad. This way, I stay fit and healthy which is really important to me.
The first thing I like to do in the morning before my workout
For today’s post, I decided to share a recipe. So, before I worked out I had to prep all of my ingredients and cook breakfast! This recipe was really simple to make and I am sure you will like it too!
To make the Cheesy Egg Bites (full recipe below), I whisked 5 eggs, added salt, pepper, and some other spices (you can add whatever spices you like). After whisking the eggs, I lined my metal cupcake sheet with 5 baking cup liners. I then distributed the eggs equally amongst the baking cup liners making sure to not overfill them. Once the eggs were settled in the baking cups, I added my toppings. I was in the mood for tomatoes, cilantro, and cheddar cheese so I cut up those ingredients and added them to my eggs. Once completed, I cooked the egg cups for about 15 minutes. I should have added a bit of oil to each baking liner so the eggs didn’t stick.
After the eggs were cooked, I worked out. I love working out with Fitness Blender because their comprehensive programs challenge me and give me everything I need from a more robust workout routine. I did a cardio and abs workout that lasted about 30 minutes. By the end, I was sweating but ecstatic because I accomplished my goal of working out for the day.
After my workout, I treated myself to the breakfast I made earlier. I served my egg cups with a rice roll and peanut butter, some fruit, and my new favorite food item, Peri Peri hummus! It was tasty and definitely hit the spot after my workout! After eating, I had another large cup of water.
Working out helps me get started with the other tasks I need to complete for the day. I like to do my workouts in the morning so I do not have to worry about them later in the afternoon or evening when I’m tired!
