Frequently Asked Questions About Jasmine, Founder of The Jazzy Nation

How did you start your journey as a travel blogger and social media influencer?

I embarked on my journey as a travel blogger and social media influencer in 2017 when my husband and I relocated to Morocco, where he serves in the Foreign Service. Originally, The Jazzy Nation started as a hair and beauty brand. However, the challenges of homesickness and culture shock during our first year abroad prompted a shift in focus. Sharing the highs and lows of my new life online provided an invaluable outlet for self-expression. As we began exploring the region extensively, I discovered a newfound passion for travel and adventure. Through sharing these experiences with my audience, I found joy in connecting with others and embracing my identity as a global citizen and explorer of this beautiful world

How do you balance being a wife, mother, and entrepreneur while living abroad?

Balancing the roles of wife, mother, and entrepreneur is no small feat, but I’ve learned to navigate it by implementing systems and routines to keep my life organized. While juggling the responsibilities of being a stay-at-home mom and running a full-time business, I initially struggled to find a balance, leading to challenges with postpartum depression. Reflecting on this period in my life, I’ve realized the importance of sharing my journey to overcome PPD and the strategies I’ve developed along the way. While achieving balance remains a constant challenge, I’ve found that establishing routines and systems has been instrumental in managing my various roles effectively.

As The Jazzy Nation grows, how do you envision continuing to inspire and connect with audiences worldwide?

I envision the brand expanding to serve others on a grand scale, offering experiences, resources, and stories that empower my community to take courageous leaps of faith, regardless of the fear. Emphasizing a positive mental outlook on life, I aim to inspire individuals to approach their own journeys with optimism at the forefront. I firmly believe that cultivating happiness and prioritizing mental well-being enables us to better serve others, particularly for mothers navigating the complexities of parenthood and expat life. Moreover, I aspire for The Jazzy Nation to serve as a welcoming community hub for those living abroad, providing solace and connection amidst the challenges of isolation, especially for mothers. While the future of the brand holds endless possibilities, I am confident that with the support of our incredible community, we will achieve remarkable heights together!
