A Sweet Day in the Strawberry Fields of Germany
We visited a local strawberry field here in Germany, and it was one of those simple outings that turned into a core memory. Watching Gideon run through the rows, carefully choosing the ripest berries (and sneaking a few bites!) reminded me how special seasonal activities can be, especially as a mom raising a toddler abroad.
What I Made with the Strawberries
Since our visit, we’ve enjoyed those strawberries in a bunch of ways:
- Fresh with breakfast
- Over yogurt and in pancakes
- As a sweet homemade jam
- … and in the smoothie bowl I’m sharing below, which might be our favorite yet.
4-Ingredient Strawberry Banana Smoothie Bowl Recipe
Ingredients
Method
- Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a bowl and top with: Sliced strawberries and bananas
- Optional: granola, chia seeds, nuts, or shredded coconut for extra flavor and crunch
