Today, I answer some questions about working abroad, managing your side hustle, and setting goals. My hope is that you will learn how to manage your side hustle and passions with the three tips I share in this post.
A Little Background Info About Me
For most of my adult life, one of the biggest blessings I have found with having ‘regular’ jobs is that they helped add fuel to my many side hustles, dreams, and travels. Whether that be through the money I earned to help fund equipment and experiences or the skills I gained that now translate into making my extracurricular activities more valuable, I am definitely thankful for every experience I have had.
Let’s get to it!
There are three things I think everyone can do to help manage a side hustle and passion while working. I know the goal for many people is to be able to leave a 9-5 one day. Some have lost their jobs this year and are looking for options. And some of you can’t wait to travel and maybe even move abroad. I hope these steps will help you lay the groundwork to one day get where you want to go!
3 Ways to Manage Your Side Hustle & Passions
- Set goals: Do this early on in your journey and often! Goal setting will help keep you on track. Having the skills to create actionable goals will also help you learn to be okay with the pivots you may experience in life and work.
- Create a schedule: When you create a schedule, you allow yourself to prioritize the work it will take to meet your goals. Your schedule does not need to be large or elaborate. It does, however, need to be detailed so you can manage all of your different priorities.
- Don’t be too hard on yourself: Know that the job you currently have or where you currently are in your life is ultimately setting you up for future success! This success will inevitably lend value to your side hustles and passions. Be patient with the process!
