And today, we’re making it together!⁠ ⁠ This lasagna soup has quickly become a family favorite, especially during these chilly, cozy days. My trick? I add extra chicken broth to keep it soupy and make it stretch for a couple of days—perfect for busy weeks!⁠ ⁠ I’m so glad the guys love it as much as I do. Driving in Germany is a different experience from Driving in Germany is a different experience from driving in the U.S. Let me share the biggest differences I’ve noticed:⁠ ⁠ 1️⃣ Speed Limits: While the U.S. has speed limits everywhere, sections of Germany’s Autobahn have no limit!⁠ ⁠ 2️⃣ Right-of-Way Rules: Germany’s “priority to the right” rule takes some getting used to, whereas the U.S. relies heavily on stop signs.⁠ ⁠ 3️⃣ Parking: German parking spaces are compact with strict regulations, contrasting with the U.S.’s spacious parking lots.⁠ ⁠ 4️⃣ Road Etiquette: German drivers follow the rules and only use the fast lane for passing. This year was one of slowing down, leaning in, and This year was one of slowing down, leaning in, and savoring every little moment. I prioritized local and familiar experiences over constant travel. I leaned into motherhood, cherishing the time it takes to nurture my little one’s growth. I worked on balancing my time as a mom and a wife. I found joy in the smallest moments and celebrated every victory, no matter how small. I expressed endless gratitude for this life God has gifted me. I went on so many mommy-and-son adventures. I spent meaningful time with family. I worked hard, trusted God, and embraced new opportunities. And we moved abroad…again! 2024 was a beautiful chapter, and I’m so thankful for it. I was baking Christmas cookies with my little one I was baking Christmas cookies with my little one in the kitchen when one of my favorite holiday songs started playing. It’s a song my mom and I would listen to on repeat while making treats together—prepping for family and friends to fill our home with laughter and love. At that moment, the weight of this season hit me. I miss those traditions, my mom, and being home for the holidays. This year, we chose to stay in Germany. Between the stress of traveling with a toddler, the cost, and the need to settle into our new life, staying put made the most sense. But choosing to stay doesn’t mean it’s easy. It doesn’t mean I’m not sad.
