I might be developing a little obsession with find I might be developing a little obsession with finding good deals here in Germany… 😅

This week’s find? The cutest collection of flower pots from our local shop — and they were all super affordable! I couldn’t resist. Now to figure out what to plant in them.

Tell me: Are you a houseplant person, herb grower, or flower-only type of gardener? I need ideas!

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot more time on Yo Lately, I’ve been spending a lot more time on YouTube — batching videos, connecting with my community over there, and honestly, it feels really good to be back on that platform again. There’s something special about sharing life in longer form and diving deeper into our experiences abroad. ❤️

On the home front, we’ve officially entered the Kindi chapter with Gideon, and he’s doing so well! It’s been a big transition for our family, but he’s adjusting beautifully. Let me know if you’d like a post or video on how preschool here in Germany compares to the U.S. — I’ve learned a lot!

Of course, food continues to be a love language in our home. Gozie recently made his famous spaghetti and meat sauce, and it was chef’s kiss. I’m always so grateful when we can share the load in the kitchen, especially on busy days.

We’ve also been prioritizing slow family time lately. With a full summer ahead, I’m holding onto these quieter moments together — even the spontaneous gelato runs, which I can already tell are going to become a warm-weather tradition 😆

We celebrated Gideon’s first official day of Kindi with a little family outing, and I couldn’t be more proud of how brave and curious he’s been through it all.

On the home front, we’re still in nesting mode — slowly furnishing our place here in Germany. IKEA has officially become our second home (you do what you’ve got to do!).

And a little parenting win: Gideon finally fits into this sweet outfit that was gifted to us when he was a baby. It’s too cute not to wear on repeat this summer. Thank you again, Pame ❤️

Life lately feels full and slow all at once — and I’m grateful.

Here’s a quick haul of what I picked up for Gideon as we prep for warmer days and his next chapter at kindergarten abroad.

Anything you’d add to this list? Fellow parents — what are your must-haves?

I’ve always appreciated cars, but now… I’m o I’ve always appreciated cars, but now… I’m officially obsessed! 😍

Spending the day at the Mercedes-Benz Museum was such a fun and inspiring experience. I loved learning about the history of vehicles through the unique lens they presented — from innovation to design evolution. And of course, seeing so many iconic and futuristic cars up close was an absolute treat!

If you ever find yourself in Stuttgart, Germany, be sure to add this museum to your list. It’s a must-visit for car lovers and curious minds alike.

Back in the kitchen and back on my shift as a Priv Back in the kitchen and back on my shift as a Private Chef in Germany... because my toddler client was starting to get… Han-gry 😅

Lunch request: something crunchy, salty, and immediate.

So, I made homemade tortillas → cut → fried → turned into chips to pair with my silky tortilla soup.

Tortillas:
2 cups masa harina
1⅓ cups warm water
Pinch of salt
Mix, press, and cook in a pan

Chips:
Cut tortillas into strips. With a bit of oil (I used about 1/4 cup of avocado oil), fry them until golden brown. Salt immediately after cooking. I used chili lime seasoning from Trader Joe’s, but Tajin works great too!

Crisis (a.k.a. toddler meltdown) averted. 🙃

Who else has a tiny food critic running the house?

Tag a fellow mom who might need this recipe in her back pocket!

Let's do a quick mid-week meal prep! It’s neve Let's do a quick mid-week meal prep!

It’s never too late in the week to get your life together, especially when you have a tiny client who demands food to be ready immediately when he gets hungry!

And on a serious note, I find that having meals and ingredients prepped gives me the energy I need to tackle my days during the week and the weekend!

What ingredients or dish did you prep this week?

In today’s Private Chef & Personal Assistant Dia In today’s Private Chef & Personal Assistant Diaries: Living in Germany, I’m sharing a few client favorites — aka meals my toddler has actually loved lately.

I should warn you… this client has a thing for spice. Which means many of the meals on this list are a little bold for the average toddler (and some adults, too).

But I’m not complaining, it just means I get to cook the flavorful dishes I love, and he usually joins me at the table like a tiny food critic.

✨ Here’s what’s been on the menu:
* Dutch baby pancake with berries (not pictured)
* Silky tortilla soup
* Mango salmon bowls
* Spicy pork & veggie stir fry
* Blueberry coconut banana bread
* Homemade smash burgers + fries
* And yes… boxed mac & cheese, with chef-approved upgrades

Would your little one go for any of these meals? Or are we deep in the “cereal for every meal” phase right now (which is tasty too!)

Tag a fellow foodie parent who’s been in the toddler chef trenches lately, and save this for your next meal plan if you want to spice things up!
