Chocolate Butter Frosting Recipe

Adapted from Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook, 16th Edition
Servings 12 Servings

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 8 cups powdered sugar
  • cup milk plus more if needed
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, beat butter until fluffy.
  • Melt chocolate chips until smooth. Beat into butter before adding powdered sugar.
  • Add powdered sugar and salt. Slowly add milk and beat on low speed to spread consistency.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • If needed, add more milk (1 teaspoon at a time) to reach desired consistency.
