Chocolate Butter Frosting Recipe
Adapted from Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook, 16th Edition
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 8 cups powdered sugar
- ⅓ cup milk plus more if needed
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Sprinkles (optional)
In a medium bowl, beat butter until fluffy.
Melt chocolate chips until smooth. Beat into butter before adding powdered sugar.
Add powdered sugar and salt. Slowly add milk and beat on low speed to spread consistency.
Stir in vanilla.
If needed, add more milk (1 teaspoon at a time) to reach desired consistency.
